When we launched www.DiBruno.com we were excited to receive many kudos from the Magento development community, a mention on the blog, and a nod from some folks in Magento Inc’s Sales and Training departments. To the average joe, an e-commerce website may seem simple. You get what you see… That homepage slide show goes from right to left, and yup, the numbers change when it slides, and when you click on a slide it takes you to that featured product… Simple, right? Wrong. How many seconds in between each slide? Can the client control this promotional space themselves? What happens when you click on the “Learn More” link; does it go to the product, or it’s category landing page? Is the slide show using JavaScript or Flash? See, what is simple to the eye is far more complex to us. Simple tasks are few and far between in web design and development, and this is especially true when working with an e-commerce website.

The Holidays Are Here... Is Your Business Prepared?

The holiday season has arrived. Thanksgiving marks the start of an exciting and fun period for everyone. From a work standpoint, it marks one of the busiest and stressful periods… at least in our industry. I find it interesting that depending on what industry you’re in, the holiday season can be pleasant or an absolute nightmare. Every year we feel the holiday rush in a big way.
