How Much Experience Do You Have in Our Industry?

We've never Worked With Anyone Exactly Like You

When we’re engaging with potential new clients, right in the middle of that sometimes awkward, always fascinating learning phase, there are always lots of questions. It’s a lot like being on a first date.

“Where are you from?”

“What do you do?”

Invariably, the conversation turns to our experience. Full disclosure: I love talking about our past projects and existing client relationships. I’m proud of the work that we do, and if anything I’m guilty of talking about it too much. At some point or another though, one question always comes up.

“How much experience do you have in our industry?”

This is a fun one. Over the course of O3’s existence, we’ve worked with hundreds of brands in dozens of industries. We’ve built an e-commerce presence for a Philadelphia food empire, helped one of the nation’s largest non-profits streamline its admissions process, and assisted a 40 year-old brand get the word out on lifesaving new technology, along with hundreds of other unique projects.

I gotta be honest with you though, we’ve never worked with anyone exactly like you.

There. I said it.

The fact is, your business is one-of-a-kind. There are specific logistical, competitive, and legal issues that you face that are unique to your situation. Fortunately, the lessons we’ve learned, the consumer behaviors we’ve observed, the usability standards we adhere to - those things carry from industry to industry, client to client. A back of house solution we implemented for a national retail chain may provide an insight into how an insurance company can elevate brand awareness. The lessons learned optimizing online form submission for a leading non-profit can inform the design of a customizable product configurator for a home improvement company. It’s all about finding the commonalities and leveraging your deep understanding of your industry along with our expertise in web design and technology integration.

Fortunately, the longer we maintain a relationship with a client, the deeper our understanding gets and the more we’re able to see where we can poke and prod and optimize and refine. Part of our partnership with clients is always being available to consult, to offer advice, and to keep them informed on how the latest digital and interactive developments can be applied to their particular situation. I love the challenge, and so does everyone else I work with.

Got a challenge of your own? Not exactly sure how to approach it? Neither am I, but I’ve got a few guys that might have an idea or two. Let’s get started.
