We recently launched the website for Philadelphia Weekly, which is regarded as the most widely read alternative weekly paper in the region. After many creative sessions with all departments at the Weekly, we developed the online strategy, Information Architecture, User Interface Design, and handled all of the (X) HTML + CSS + Javascript and AJAX development for the front end of the site. (And if you don’t think any of that matters, check out the City Paper’s site) We also worked with their Content Management provider with their “off the shelf, plug and play” offering.
While the site is missing compelling content like the Adult section, it allows them much more in the way of advertising and sponsorship opportunities, multi-media capabilities, and overall, provides the users with a more streamlined path and navigation structure.
