What you’ll do:
Serve as a subject matter expert on Content Management Systems and back-end development.
Create websites and custom modules with Drupal, WordPress and other CMS frameworks.
Design and build APIs. Integrate back-end systems with 3rd party APIs and services.
Develop custom eCommerce implementations.
Integrate CMS backends with the dynamic FE components and applications.
Create reusable patterns to drive efficiency and scalability.
Configure caching and optimize server-side performance.
Estimate features, lead architecture review, contribute to business development.
Assist with automation (linting, automated testing), creating unit tests, optimizing development workflows.
What you need to be successful:
Expertise in PHP, web standards (HTML, CSS, JS), and CMS-based web development (Drupal or Wordpress)
5+ years of professional, hands-on development experience. You have a strong grounding in Computer Science fundamentals and an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with modern development workflows and practices: git, webpack, linters, CI/CD, etc
Experience working on scrum projects (standups, working in sprints, estimating, collaborating with designers and developers)
Bonus points if you have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Media or another relevant degree, but it is not required. We recognize that self-education is a key component in becoming a successful developer.
