At O3, we want you to know more about the people behind your projects. We hope you enjoy learning about the people who make this place tick.
We’re happy to announce Beth Perkins has joined the team as our People Growth Manager. She’s using her combined 15 years of experience in human resources and theatre production to craft a world-class experience for the employees of O3. She’s passionate about helping people achieve their goals and creating an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work. Outside the office, she loves spending time with her television, discussing crime patterns with her criminologist husband, and making everything from scratch in her small South Philly kitchen.
I’m eager to develop stronger processes around recruiting and hiring, with the goal of continuing O3‘s mission to build a diverse and inclusive workplace. I’m also looking forward to building a scalable organizational chart with clear development paths for everyone here. O3 is poised for some exciting growth in the coming years, and I’m excited to have joined at such a pivotal time.
Get to know Beth:
Hometown: Dunkirk, NY (about an hour southwest of Buffalo)
Favorite TV shows: She and her TV have a special thing going on (meaning she thinks she watches far too much television). A few shows that she’s loving right now are: Better Things, Mindhunter, The Americans, Legion, Rick & Morty, High Maintenance, Love, and Atypical.
Interesting facts about her: She has a BFA in Theatre Production & Design and ran a small theatre company in Austin, TX for several years before moving to Philly. After college, she moved to London on a whim with $1000 USD, no job, and nowhere to live. Somehow she figured it all out, got a job, a flat, and came home a year later with no money and an overinflated sense of self-sufficiency. She loves pretty much all food, except cilantro, which she thinks tastes like Windex. She’s never eaten Windex, but she did eat a tempura fried pig’s eyeball. It was delicious. She’s irrationally afraid of birds, fish, and animatronics.
What she likes about HR: “I love finding innovative ways to create a space where people can do their best work. There’s a ton of variety in my role, which means there’s never a dull moment. Working in a smaller company like O3 World gives me the opportunity to impact recruiting, diversity, career progression, culture, benefits, employee engagement, and so much more.”
What she hopes to accomplish at O3: “I’m eager to develop stronger processes around recruiting and hiring, with the goal of continuing O3‘s mission to build a diverse and inclusive workplace. I’m also looking forward to building a scalable organizational chart with clear development paths for everyone here. O3 is poised for some exciting growth in the coming years, and I’m excited to have joined at such a pivotal time.”
