Beth Perkins, director of people and culture at O3 World, spoke to Workhuman about the opportunities and threats of a globalized talent market.
She points out that while many companies can enjoy the suddenly unlimited pipeline offered by the surge in remote working, that pipeline flows both ways: Your regional talent pool may be tapped by outsiders and drained for local companies.
“If your talent pool is limited to the city you’re in, but companies from all over the country are now interested in that talent pool, it could be difficult to stay competitive.”
